Interesting… for some reason, I had assumed Heather knew about Brad, and that it was part of the plan for explaining to Mom. After all, he would be the only one she’d recognize.
How would Heather recognize Brad? Heather’s dad stole her away literally before Brad was born.
Actually, CD has dug a gigantic plot hole with this comic: With all the research Heather did to find her mother, there’s no way she could have missed out discovering the name of her brother.
@Tom Sewell Heather was looking for a mother who lost two daughters, their father was cough in USA with her, and the local authorities fail in connecting them with her mother back in Canada, granted, is amazing how they fail to even check his past relationships, but the point is, he never told them who the mother was, the fact that he also got a son, or even where Heather was born, if USA or Canada, so the only clue Heather has was that her mother must be in Canada, because her recently found “sister” was left behind there.
Actually, (ref the ‘gigantic plot hole’ Tom thinks there is) Heather only recently discovered that her long lost sister, Bay is actually originally her long lost Brother, Bradley.

Therefore in Heather’s mind, she’s currently talking to Bradley, whom is now called, Bay.
When Bay asked to talk to Brad, Heather should be assuming Bay is talking about a different Brad (like there could be two people with the same name), but the name is close enough to her recent discovery to make her do a double check.
Remember, ever since New-Brad’s first appearance in 1119 : DAH DUH DA!, Heather has been in wedding prep mode. Only Bay, Trav, Berry and Tom knows who New-Brad really is.
@Tom Sewell – pretty sure Russ meant Brad was the only one Mom would recognize, not Heather.
Actually, because of Brad I am a little nervous for the reunion between Bay and her mother, and not just for the obvious reasons , I still don’t know how relevant this would be, but Bay give up a lot of her memories prior to her transformation to create Brad, so we still don’t know how much she remember of her mother.
“Well you know how I used to be a guy? My birth name is Brad.”
