1064 : Boy Oh Boy
Ack! Sorry for the late post, folks. I did the copy editing back on Saturday, and figured I’d have plenty of time to finish up before the page would go live. And then I totally forgot about it.

Bay: you REALLY want to know the WHOLE story Heather? well you’d better get comfy, cause this is a long doozy of a tale to tell.
The only way to tell it is with a long and confusing series of events that eventually turn into something that makes sense, starting with a meeting that seems made up until you realise it was referenced later on, a narrator who the characters are fully aware of until he disappears one day due to mysterious and likely mob related circumstances.
I remember this comic as being difficult to get into until you have that total bit like when you’re reading the last Scott Pilgrim comic and suddenly all the shit that was just bizarre and meaningless starts to make sense.
Bay: That’s just it Heather. I’m NOT a boy, not anymore, and it wasn’t my choice! I didn’t tell you about mom because I haven’t told mom about my current gender role.
[calmer] Heather, I was changed in a girl against my will and didn’t tell my, our, mom because I always hoped I could find a way to change back. It’s been the focus of my life, surviving long enough as a girl to be a boy again, so I haven’t had time to consider…
[quieter] I don’t even know when I stopped thinking of myself as a boy.
That’s about how I was hoping the followup scene would go, too.
The $64k question however is whether Heather’s staunch religious bent extends to the stereotypical rejection of anything that breaks traditional sexual norms. First, the fact of Bay NOT rejecting being a woman could get interpreted as her being trans, and second, Bay marrying a man could be interpreted as homosexual. Let’s hope that Heather does not decide that Bay needs to call off the wedding.
As for Honey/Brady, they came from alternate future timelines, but Bay was apparently not yet aware of being pregnant at the time, so as far as Bay knows, the pregnancy was an alternate-future event as well.
Lessee – what does she think about Honey, now … and has Bay explained about Berry?
AND: What will either Heather or Bay think about Berry doing the nude modeling gig in place of Bay?
And will we ever get a chance to see the fully-rendered Berry shot that the camera guy was blocking our view of?
I think you can see that image if you sign up for the Patreon.
I guess it’s time to fess up Bay. It’s better to come clean with everything now so you both can be mad at Berry later for the same reasons.
Fess up to what, though? Bay never claimed to be an orphan. I’m sure information about their biological mother came up because Heather has talked about her adoptive parents. Heather never expressed interest in seeing their mother till they were at the jail that I can recall. When Bay tried to explain, their father was being brought in.
“really a boy”, huh? Heather, you might want to look at Bay’s chest in that Beaver Tails shirt and re-evaluate that statement. “originally a boy” I could accept, though.
Heather if Bay is a boy, then how do you explain Brady?
I REALLY hope that part of this gets shut down by Bay explaining that she gave birth to her daughter (technically both of them, since Honey is her daughter from the future).
Technically, Bay hasn’t given birth. She got pregnant. When Brady came through the time portal, she got too close to her present day self while near the portal, and present day child in Bay went poof. Honey came through the portal as well.
Um, that may be canon in Time Cop (a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie) but it ain’t here. The two Honeys, two Bays, and the two versions of Teri have all been touching.
It’s not really clear what happened in the timeline(s) Honey and Brady were snatched from, whether they went out of existence or just aren’t reachable any more. If they still exist, there are one or two Bays out there in the multiverse looking for their missing daughters.
I seem to recall that the “two versions of an entity will merge if they come together” thing was only valid during the moments when the time portal was powered up, and even then only within a certain range of the portal itself. Prenatal-Brady thus got merged into child-Brady when child-Brady came through the portal because Bay was right there. Teen-Honey however came through the portal while Bay was away from it, and so there was no merging.
Really hope that Bay throws the fact that Heather pretended to be Bay and posed nude.
Ooh, that could devolve into a real girl fight with claws and hair-pulling. I’m hoping that Bay has a bit more in the brain department than that.
Heather did no such thing. Berry did that, recently. Heather posed nude a while ago, the pictures leaked with Bay’s name on them, and Heather didn’t correct anyone on the mistake (with Bay’s permission, btw).
To be fair, with the myriad of plot threads running in the comic at any given time, it can be easy to mis-remember details.
To be fair, Bay’s had way way WAAAAAAAAAY too much to deal with to have time to tell her. (especially considering the authors’ tastes)
There is no way to explain how and why Bay is a girl with out sounding like a crazy person.
Bay doesn’t even have the whole story. Berry would have to explain her part in it and it would still sound like a crazy story.
Once again, talking cats! How would any of this sound crazy in a world with talking cats?!!!
Ms Heather, your….twin was always try to tell you the truth about your mom(real mom),but you always cut her(or him what ever) down.
So in some way,you are the reason that block yourself from known the truth.
(feel so good for back after I give up read this comic for 2month…..Just feel tired for waiting the pages)
