Honey: “Hey Mom, this is Dawnie. She’s my boyfriend’s female siren clone with some of my own helix mixed in. So, I guess that makes you a grandma!”
It might be a Very shocking reaction if Honey tells them Dawnie is “Sort of” her Daughter. That makes them Gramma’s and Aunts!
I just hope Dawnie doesn’t make them “Bark like a Dog” .
So far Honey is going to have fun pointing out the moon, stars and other points of Interest, just like a good ‘Mom’ should.
Oh Dawnie it’s a big world out here. So much to see, so much to do.
Brr… David’s line at the end is dark. Surely he has more faith in his colleagues than that…
It doesn’t have to be interpreted as dark.
For one, David specifically says “siren”, and sirens being around guys is bad for guys.
And secondly, bringing her around guys will likely result in both Dawnie getting attention she’ll likely be uncomfortable with, and David getting taunted about his “cute ‘girlfriend'”. Which will creep him the fuck out, since she’s basically his clone/daughter.
If they took a normal siren to a room full of guys, those guys would be practically worshiping her in very short order. With ‘Dawnie’, it would be even worse.
Dawnie: No! Don’t worship me! You are all individuals!
Boys (in monotone chorus): We are all individuals.
It’s not his colleagues he’s worried about, it’s his college-aged dorm-mates that are making him nervous. You know, the kind with large levels of testosterone and small levels of inhibition?
