A little bit delayed, between internet, and a health issue sneaking up on me. But here’s ahhh… people!
EDIT by Robert: I was too busy tonight to post the comic initially, but I’ve now had time to do my usual fixes.

Tom’s impending siren fate is like the Spanish Inquisition. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
to CD Rudd: I hope you feel better soon.
I”m guessing this is not the kind of solution to his health problem that CD would be seeking…
I’m not quite sure I follow the idea here: one healthy siren + one sick siren + time = one healthy siren? What is gained by that?
I was thinking the same thing. Cocooning seems to halve their population every generation, albeit each generation is hundreds of years long.
I assume there must be some other reproductive mechanism to counter this.
Perhaps it’s more of a “personality maintenance” system, moreso than reproduction? It might keep the sick, elderly siren’s personality “alive” within the newly formed siren.
That’s purely a guess, though.
@Robert – I’d think it’d be more like a ‘Knowledge Maintenance” then a personality one. The new Hybrid Siren would have the knowledge and experiences of both it’s progenitors stored.
Well, If you recall the following comics,
Comic 778 – He might be ok with it,
Comic 782 – Taking down a Powerhouses,
Comic 783 – It’s hard to feel sorry for him and
Comic 804 – Too young to Enjoy it
You might be able to figure out the answer.
Whoa! CD that run down leads to other ‘figuring outs.’
Is Bay pregnant by her boyfriend who was, at the time, infected by the siren virus? And does that mean her future baby will be a Siren?
@ai_vin: No, because both parents have to be affected.
Wrong. The text here; https://sailorsun.org/?comic=804-too-young-to-enjoy-it said “one OR both”
Opps, my bad.
Metamorphose.
Now I really want to know whats going to happen next…
So Tom’s old life is now over, whatever happens she is going to be a siren for the remainder of her days.
Well I guessed wrong. I guess they increase the siren numbers the old fashioned way, as this lowers their numbers.
I do wonder if the new siren has the memories of the two that joint to make it.
That would make sense, at least partial memories.
Who knows? This just reminds me of Steven Universe with Steven and Rose’s integration in a way.
or how Ruby and Sapphire from Stephen Universe merged to form Garnet.
They aren’t like a permanent fusion in this case; they can still separate their individual bodies and memories if they want, they are just compatible to the point of maintaining their fused body for almost eternally.
My point was that Tom here got infused heavily with Siren DNA to trigger this cocoon process to be permanently changed into a new individual, possibly with a new personality or a blank mind. The cocooning could only merge the two DNAs together, leaving Tom’s original personality intact with some mental traces from the “donor” siren or would the new siren come out with a clear mental slate as if like a newborn.
With either case, hopefully Tom won’t resume with controlling Sirens for conquest. But likely with CD Rudd trying to wrap up this web comic arc in the near future, Tom won’t likely make a reappearance for us to see.
My question is, will Tom still be able to fix the accountant (or at least one of the other employees of HRC,) or is that poor guy doomed to her new existence?
If the new Pearl has absorbed her old boyfriend, she could know more about how to fix Tammie than Tom would have. But of course she won’t want to.
Unless the new pearl was Tom.
How long does this cocooning take? Aren’t we seeing the last day of this comic? Or does it run through Bay’s golden anniversary? BTW, only moths cocoon; butterflies form a chrysalis. The general process in insects with complete metamorphosis is pupation.
I think the key word in the explanation is “The process can take months.” That tells me that it doesn’t necessarily have to.
