Tammy huh? Has Tom been TGed before?
Aside from that, could it be possible that a singular cocoon is incapable of properly developing the siren powers?
I think your on to something and going back what we saw in a previous panel ( forgot which one ) maybe they get someone else ( not a siren ) and the siren along with the non siren ends up becoming a brand new kid siren which is a combination of both.
If that is the case maybe a cocoon of one will just make the exact same Siren only regressed back to child age ?
Maybe it’s a rebirth process. Maybe I’m misremembering, but I’m pretty sure the sirens don’t die of old age. (Makes sense for a certain siren to not realize what was going on).
So instead of them fusing into a new one, or the two become young again, it may be a case where one is the mother and the other becomes the newly (re)born siren daughter. Which would explain the confusion over “single-siren” cocooning, since it would mean that generally two or more go in at once)
tl;dr: basically, it’s so that sirens who are tired of their life can get a restart on life.
Well to be fair, the solo cocooning is unprecedented. So what it may result in may be contradictory to what normally happens. We’ll just have to wait for the sirens to explain what the cocooning normally is.
If that’s the case then you’d need to produce more Sirens than you start with. Perhaps you start with two People, at least one is a siren, and then four kids pop out, each one with a mix of features from the two parents.
I didnt really explain my thoughts to well in reguards to this. I think that the cocooning makes them younger again and into sirens. This would allow them to increase their numbers (by turning humans), but they dont have to turn anyone (cocooning with another siren), and would explain why they dont really age. I guessed something about youth those lines last we saw the cocooning (didnt write anything though) but didnt know that single cocooing was not really a thing.
Tom, you deserve this for your mustache-twirling villainy, world domination plans, messing around with mutagenic substances, and laboratory carelessness.
Over dosage of siren serum applied to a human male. I am guessing the two different DNA strands are merging into a new hybrid that is not fully either siren or human. What kind of creature emerges is going to be interesting. When she comes out, she may be able to fix what happened but may be too easily distracted or may not want to change.
Now that i would fit the chrysalis motif. Maybe the mutagen was too perfect and removed all the extraneous factors that had accumulated in the siren genome with time and maybe added a few that had become lost, like the parts of the male gene. That would be a hoot and a half if he becomes a true siren and gets whisked away and “protected” by the sirens as an original siren.
Well actually the internet issue is my internet service cap has been exceeded. Since I’m staying on a farm (and do not own the internet I’m using currently). I’m limited to my cell and work internet, neither is good for comic uploading.
The internet plan should cycle by the end of the week. Plus this week is kind of busy with holiday functions too
Throttle is bad enough but there can be legitimate reasons for that – usage caps is artificial scarcity of an unlimited resource. This is what happens when you have monopolies and no oversight armed with sledge hammers. Why sledge hammers? Because corporate types will and do do anything they can get away with – see Love Canal etc.
I despise corporate america – it is shadowrun without the magic.
@N0083rp00F – Shadowrun without the magic is Cyberpunk, and it’s interesting you mention that. I used to play and run both Shadowrun and Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0 and as both I’ve looked at their timelines. Every now and then an event will occur in our life that matches one or the other timeline and I get creeped out for about 2 weeks.
Well this can’t be good. Or maybe it is?
Either way, Tom is definitely going to be a lot different when this is over!
I wonder if Tom has stumbled onto the Siren equivalent of Royal Jelly. If so…
Say, don’t we know another siren who’s cocooned recently?
Yeah, and she cocooned with someone else. Which Sapphire and Jade seem to think is the “normal” way to do it.
Makes me wonder what the intended consequences of cocooning are, and what Tammy’s singular cocooning is going to do…
Tammy huh? Has Tom been TGed before?

I am guessing cocooning is how sirens make children.

Actually that sound better than my theory.
So however gets cocooned with the siren ends up becoming that sirens kid.
That would be a nice explanation for the 1st time we saw that however it doesn’t explain the Tom solo cocoon situation.
Well Tom come out 1) an adult siren or 2)a kid siren or 3) Back to normal or 4) no idea.
Well to be fair, the solo cocooning is unprecedented. So what it may result in may be contradictory to what normally happens. We’ll just have to wait for the sirens to explain what the cocooning normally is.

Maybe she’ll emerge as a Mimbari?
That’s a boneheaded idea! (Runs for nearest JumpGate)
The avalanche has started, it is too late for the pebbles to vote.
The “bonehead maneuver” requires you run away from the JumpGate. That is if you wish to continue breathing. 🙂
I don’t like this too dark 😐
It’s not as dark as RWBY Volume 3 and onward.
Well, I mean, she’s probably fine, probably just going to pop out after a few years perma-TF’d with cool siren powers.
Siren’s explain, now.
Tom, you deserve this for your mustache-twirling villainy, world domination plans, messing around with mutagenic substances, and laboratory carelessness.
Buh-bye, Tom. At least your demise will yield valuable information.
Hopefully Tom will come out of that as a better person.
hard to stay focused when you sprout breasts… even harder to stay focused when you turn into a… whatever that is lol
Arise Tom….God-Emperor of the first Siren Empire.
The question we should be asking now is, can Tom even get out of the Siren Cocoon on her own? Or is she stuck inside unless someone free’s her?
There is a good chance the cocoon will soften and allow the new “siren” to emerge when the changes are complete.

Well, one fairly consistent feature of siren figures from Ancient Greece and Rome are wings…

Is Crystal ok?
There’s been a lot of talk about Tom mustache-twirling, but a mustache doesn’t look like part of Tom’s future. At least her own mustache.
Note to anyone wondering where tonight’s new comic is: CD’s having internet issues, so it’ll be delayed.
Must be the end of net neutrality..:)
I heard Tom was the swing vote in that as well.
The net neutrality changes are set to take place until January. And even then it will still be a little while before we notice any ISP changes.
trust me Robert, I know how CD feels when it comes to computers quacking up.

Ugh. I hate companies that throttle Internet.
I see. I hope you and Robert have a Merry Christmas.
