They’re not hunting for David, they’re hunting for Crystal.
But if this doesn’t work they might mistake David for Crystal.

No – he was a girl when it hit him. If it goes right (…and isn’t that ominously bodeful phrasing…), he’ll be a guy when he grows up, and it won’t affect him.
That is, he’d been transformed. This time he won’t be transformed.
He wasn’t transformed before, they had swapped minds. He was in crystals body, and despite this occurring before this was the first time anyone some how took the siren virus from crystal. So the virus didn’t spread it was transferred. I still think that choker is to blame, though how totally confounds me.
I love panel four. Though from what the doc is saying, I’ve got to agree with TeeracK, he’s going to turn back as his age is given back.
Well, that just happened.
Pretty sure that’s what any guy would say after what David’s been through.
FYI, it should be “every woman” in panel 2, rather than “every women”.
What if multiple women are effected?
Even with multiple women. “Every” makes it singular. “All” would be plural, as in “aren’t all women”.

As you might imagine, I hashed this out with CD quite a bit, to make sure it all came out right. But that particular bubble looked fine at first glance, and I never gave it a second thought.
FAIL! *slinks off to edit the page again*
So, I’m guessing here that panel 2 is foreshadowing, along with the consequences of siren seduction, and Bay & Auction Guy having sex that Bay has just gotten pregnant with a new siren.
Note for anyone else going through the archives, the current comic at the date of posting does not give additional information if I’m right or not (I like doing two archive binges in a row to look for foreshadowing when I start a comic).
You know, I’ve read this comic several times over, and this is the first time I’ve noticed that Tom’s not wearing a shirt in this comic. And a few of the previous ones, too. We see how a collared shirt looks under his lab coat a few comics later (in the middle of this same visit), so why’s he going all pro wrestler here?
