Bay Smith is a main character. Once a guy, she was turned into a girl several years ago. She keeps this fact a secret, and only a handful of people know.
She's now a struggling actress whose roommate is actually her daughter from an alternate future timeline.
Brad/Bay must have had a biological father at some point in order to have been conceived, but I don’t remember him being mentioned before, so for all we knew, he could have been dead well before the comic started. This, however, suggests otherwise. There might have been a divorce which gave him a “dead to them” status, or something along those lines.
Bay’s father is the one who kidnapped Heather. Bay told Heather that they were both kidnapped by him in order to avoid having to introduce Heather to their mother as a woman.
So when Heather says that she knows who their father is, that’s kinda a problem.
EDIT: I am the World’s Finest for a reason, don’t you know?
@Robert Once again, Guy’s arrogance has become his downfall. Didn’t even mention that while Heather clearly knows who their father is, it’s very, very odd that she never asked him about Bay.
As far as I recall, Bay never told her biological family about becoming Bay. So explaining to one or all of them how their SON is now a WOMAN marrying a MAN to stay in America is awkward…at best.
Then again, she hasn’t really explained it to the Groom, either, so…double awkward.
Then again again, maybe everyone is just gender fluid enough to go with it…you never can tell.
@CD Rudd I somewhat remembered that comic, but I thought Honey was just quoting the song lyrics. I’d forgotten she had expanded on them, and that the other woman had drawn a weird cross between a family tree and a circuit diagram. I guess it’s time for me to re-archive the comic. 😀
Okay, I re-archived the comic, and here are a couple of back links for what is known about their father:
Heather Baby-napped: https://sailorsun.org/?comic=602-babynapping
Heather’s somewhat inaccurate knowledge of their past: https://sailorsun.org/?comic=742-inaccurate-intel
As far as I can tell, Heather had not previously mentioned re-establishing contact with (or even finding) their father sometime after being adopted by the Rego family in Buffalo. Although if she has actually talked to him, that would make it somewhat confusing that she didn’t find out from him that he only grabbed one baby from the hospital, not both of them. (or that the other one was originally male, which it looks like he overheard)
Also, while I’m at it, here’s the current location of their mother: https://sailorsun.org/?comic=sailorsun-org-12
It’s not clear whether Bay’s recovered memories after visiting the cemetary included knowledge of the relocated stationery store.

Not quite. Heather assumes that’s what happened. Bay avoids the topic entirely, for the reason you gave.

I thought he was wanted for baby napping Heather from the hospital?
You broke it, you buy it Bay!
Talk about “ripping” open a whole new load of drama right there.
Going from the look on Bay’s face, either the relationship with her dad is strained, and/or she dreads meeting after father after she got TG’d.
“Strained” is a rather large understatement.

The way Bay’s life has turned out, it wouldn’t surprise me that somehow she is her own parents.
Here you go.

You think she’s got problems?

If you think that’s confusing. Check out the comic where Honey explains it, https://sailorsun.org/?comic=11162006

@CD Rudd
And I just noticed this time around that she apparently also has a 2 ohm resistor in her family tree.
Nobody seems to remember that their dad is
dead.
Read the whole gravestone. That’s Brad’s Grandfather, not father.
Oops. My bad.
Things just got more complicated.
That’s not helping, Heather. It’s really not helping.
Happy Birthday CD Rudd
And on that note. A Happy birthday to CD today. 😀
Gonna gotta pay for that, Bay.
Happy Birthday, CD. MSFrost
