544 : Talking to the Deceased
It’s been a while since we’ve seen the pushy airport shop owner helping Honey out,
501 : Pushy Map sales Person to the rescue,
502 : Traumatized is more common now-er-days,
503 : Canadian’s are nice
This is one of those comics that sums up a bunch of hidden tidbits throughout the story. Of course by this time if no one’s figured it out, I just used a large blunt mallet to hammer in the last tidbit.
If you are still confused, here are some of the comics with clues in it.
430 : Onward Home,
461 : Cleavage (though the store front was redesigned a little since this comic),
464 : Looks like Brad needs practice at Cat fights,
465 : Looks like Bay is at a dead End,
537 : Brad the Pervert,
543 : Mommy has a boyfriend.
I can’t believe I failed to notice the potential significance of the name of the store in previous comics, but evidently we have another family member that Bay was unaware of, or at least had lost track of.
Damn it!How sputid I’m to never NOTICED those clue!!!!
Well at last I provied that having the IQ of 138 doesn’t mean smart sometime.(Yes,I’m a IQ138 persion)
I’m sorry, i just really couldn’t stop myself.
you really proved your own statement.
it! How stupid those clues proved sometimes yes, I’m an IQ
person.
now i pray I’m just feeding the troll here, cause if I’m not, it makes my own IQ seem really weak. (even though it’s higher that “yours”)
Like Honey, High IQ but miss’n the obvious sometimes.
You mean that Bay was literally only a few feet away from her mother and didn’t notice or recognize her? I can understand Honey, but Bay?
Also, it’s pretty obvious now that Bay wants everyone to think she’s dead.
Well, If you noticed, each time Bay’s gone by the shop, she was in a hurry or focused on something else (Finding a ATM/Catching a plane).
It’s highly possible she never noticed the stop was there. She tried to find her ‘MOM’, but obviously her mother moved and relocated the shop to the airport.
If you think about the irony, Honey just met her grandmother and never knew it.
Hang on a sec – if that’s Bay’s mother and she relocated the shop, why didn’t she leave a sign about that at the old shop? (the one shown in #465) I was figuring that was Bay’s previously-unknown aunt or something running a branch store.
Well, in all fairness, yes your right. She could be Brad’s aunt, given the clues. But also equally could be Brad’s Mom…
So Simply, she is Brad’s Mother.
As for the sign, who knows how long ago she moved the store. The sign could have been removed by the building’s owner after a length of time. It’s possible she forgot to put one up, or didn’t plan to open a new location till after closing the old one. (My favorite Coffee shop did that. Closed permanently with no sign indicating that is closed or moved.)
Either way, I hope she eventually re-establishes contact with Brad/Bay.
Oh well. I haven’t been able to figure out this comic’s story for a couple of years now, and it doesn’t bother me too much anymore. It doesn’t substantially reduce my enjoyment of it — I look forward to every episode.
Considering how I can pay little attention to small details like that, or if I do see it I might forget it, I’m not at all surprised that I didn’t see this coming.
This is both awesome and painful to see….
