1151 : Cake, We Hardly Knew Thee
Uh oh…
NOTICE TO READERS: Something seems to have gone wonky with the site, and we’ve had reports that some visitors have been affected by a Bitcoin miner malware. I’m currently looking into it, but I have no expertise with the WordPress system, so we may not be capable of fixing the problem until CD Rudd gets back from his vacation.
No Teri, No! Don’t do it.
But it’s not a Pan Cake!
Ah, cartoon cats. Able to handle processed sugar just fine.
1. The Titanic
2. Galveston hurricane
3. Hindenburg
4. San Francisco earthquake
5. Bay’s wedding
Three biggest maritime disasters of all time:
1) Explosion on Queen Mary, 1916
2) Sinking of Titanic, 1912
3) Not sinking of Aurora, 1917
For those of you who may not know about the Battle of Jutland, this was HMS Queen Mary, a battlecruiser, not the ocean liner preserved in Long Beach. This was the second battlecruiser that blew up that day. Admiral David Beatty famously remarked “There’s something wrong with our bloody ships today.” A third British battlecruiser blew up a little later. However, more sailors were killed in 1942 when the Bismarck blew up HMS Hood.
The Titanic wasn’t the worst maritime disaster. Two years later, more lives were lost when the Empress of Ireland sank in the St. Lawrence River a couple of months before World War I broke out.
The cruiser Aurora is preserved in St. Petersburg because a gun fired from her is supposed to have been the signal for the storming of the Winter Palace. She is also one of the two ships surviving from the Battle of Tsushima in 1905, the other being the Japanese battleship Mikasa.
Check the Halifax Explosion nearly 2000 dead, 9000 injured.
Where’s Brady? I haven’t seen a little kid yet who wouldn’t stick her finger in the cake icing to get a taste of an untended cake.
everything is yellow
I wonder what will happen next and will there be any cake left for Bay?
No, Teri, no! Bad kitty!
Anyone remember the LAST time Teri was around a cake?
I was wondering about that. Malwarebytes kept blocking something the last few days I tried to connect to this site.
I was getting blocked myself by my anti-virus restricting the site due to the problem, it seems to have stopped now.
No! Teri! This time the cake is a lie!
People might assume so when they come to check on the cake in a minute.
Poor Sam… ^^;
I’m still getting blocked on the previous two strips
Specifically the previous two strips
Try Cleaning out your Cache. It’s probably still loading the old site from your computer’s Cache.
Hi there Robert!
I’ve made a pair of adjustments to my AV and now I’m able again to read the site. I made a little research and found this article about the malware issue you’re talking about. I hope this help you and CD to fix the problem.
