DawnDawn is David with the Siren gene. It causes David to take on the appearance of an extremely attractive, green-haired woman, with all the abilities of a Siren. Comics: 46 |
DawnieA teenage version of Dawn/David, with a little of Honey's genes mixed in, along with an imperfect copy of Crystal's siren gene. Her defective Siren powers are difficult to control, and affect both men and women. Comics: 47 |

it’s ok, and to answer the strip’s question: yes i’m confused, and my head hurts as well.
So, 3 “biological” parents for Dawnie? Unimpressive for those of us that read EGS, where iirc the record is said to be 12 for a single uryuom.
Only if you consider “Dawn” the offspring of David and Crystal. Dawnie is then the daughter of Dawn and Honey, making David and Crystal her grandparents…and yes, I’m sure if we keep this up, we can prove she’s her own grandpa, too.
Congratulations, David and Honey! It’s a girl! Might want to start saving for the college tuition. Then again with her powers she’d be able to sweet talk her way in.
The good colleges can only be sweet talked with money. She probably get stuck going to Berkeley. 🙂

Um, is there supposed to be a 90 degree angle in Honey’s mouth in Panel 4?
I *think* that’s supposed to indicate that Honey is making a bit of a confused/disgruntled face.
I believe I hear two sirens about to be hoist on their own petard.
I don’t think Honey and David were expecting a child so soon.

I assume that Tom mix-and-matched David and Honey’s Alpha helices, given that he apparently has access to the data on everybody’s helices for his job.
nah if you think of this logicaly then by going throught the tree diagram that he presented dawnie is both davids grand daughter/daughter because if you imagine that david and crystal’ baby was dawn and then it dawn and honey’s baby that would be dawnie you see which would make things pretty awkard right now althought it would be on the same level with from el goonish shives my sister is my daughter arc
