Neko is CD Rudd's 2nd in command at the Studio. She looks after all the behind the scenes stuff, is the go-to face for fillers, makes the coffee, and manages the intern.
She’s been alive for umti-ump hundred years. I’m sure she’s long since set in her ways, and didn’t update with the times when they changed the plural spelling of -us words.
The “succubi” spelling is OLDER. And if you want “original”, it might be “succabae”.
That said, I can totally see several hundred year old succubus not care about proper spelling. It’s not like English is her first language. Not modern English, at least.
Except Succubuses is still correct, as is cactuses and octopuses
Because once it enters the English language, it becomes an English word, the origin language doesn’t matter, and in English, if a word ends in -s, the plural ends in -es
Just because a bunch of old latin lovers decided centuries ago to end certain words with -i doesn’t make them right
@Paradox
That’s not true either. The “rule” (because English doesn’t have any true rules, only strong recommendations) for foreign loanwords, which both succubus and octopus are, is to maintain the original language whenever possible. This can get confusing when a word is simultaneously borrowed from several related languages. Ki/qi/chi and qilin/kirin for example.
That said, -s/-es/-en plurals are usually also correct, and octopi is still wrong – the word is Greek, not Latin. Octopodes.
I dunno, seems fine to me. Charon and Rin are on their way to the studio in page 4, and here in page 5 they’ve arrived, and their teenager-ified daughters are bickering.
Admittedly, a bunch of strange things are happening on this page.
2 questions: what DID happen to Seko after she took a soul? and how will Thom react to the news? p.s., what the heck happened to Charon?
Good question–why DID Charon suddenly shift into a catwoman form?
She got angry I would guess.
Well, Thom is there and he’s male (The only one there), plus she’s a succubus. Maybe it’s part of her succubus powers.
Thom looks a bit upset.
I would too if I had to wrangle a teenaged Kinko AND her succubus grandmother.
Succubi*

Dangit, now I don’t have an excuse to be lazy and not edit the page… π

Is this really next filler? I mean, looking at page 4, it seems like there is something missing between that and this …

They arrived and somehow ends up being on phone and we don’t know who they talks to …
We can be together more Seko. I managed to get orders for Africa.
Better watch out. Don’t wanna get your soul sucked out. π
my 1st 2 questions weren’t answered. they were about Seko and Thom.
I didn’t answer because I don’t know. And even if I did know, the answers would be a spoiler.
Wait wait wait wait, was Thom just referred to as Nekoβs Husband?!
