I am thinking the opposite. David is affected by the siren voice ,when her voice was modified it had the same power over her. He may have a female body but the wiring is still all male.
Wouldn’t that go the same for Crystal though? Wait why did Crystal remain female after the virus was passed along, am I remembering that bit correctly?
Dawn is the result of the Siren virus applied to a male (David), but Crystal doesn’t have any underlying “male” genetics–she is a clone of Pearl, and thus a woman even without the Siren virus.
