Bay Smith is a main character. Once a guy, she was turned into a girl several years ago. She keeps this fact a secret, and only a handful of people know.
She's now a struggling actress whose roommate is actually her daughter from an alternate future timeline.
Electronics University student. Attends the same school as Honey and David. He is Crystal's love interest, but is so shy as to be nearly oblivious to her affections.
Its a “mind” swap, so its not like the pregnancy should cause problems as the only thing the babies presence would cause is elevated hormone levels and mood changes/shifts.
So the swap should still work as it wouldn’t really harm the baby.
It was a “normal” mindswap that actually ended mixing up David and Crytal genes, turning him into a female Siren and her into a regular human, so this machines seem to be quite unpredictable some times.
Actually it wasn’t a mind-swap that turned David into Dawn. It was a Gene swap device that ended up switching David’s basketball skill and Crystal’s siren gene (Virus).
Thus male David infected with the virus that caused Sirenism, turned him into a attractive female Siren
@CD Rudd, Oh I did get that, I was referring to the fact that the idea was to get everyone back on their bodies after the first swap, so it was suppose to be a mind-swap, but for some reason their genes get swaped in the process, hence why I think this biological precautions with this machines are taken even if they are only suppose to affect the mind
Remember that the reason the swap didn’t work is due to a safety feature on the swap device. It’s not that it can’t work on a pregnant woman (it already did on the initial swap), it’s that it’s programmed not to do so if it can tell that either target is at risk of possible side effects.
It was something covered a while ago in the comics. Transformation and such devices have safety features built in and won’t function when it detects a certain signs in the subject. (like the chemical imbalance from being pregnant, this is the reason Ams and Cleo are stuck as they are).
Tom has been hinting to this the whole time Bay has been seeing him (at least in the recent chapter). But Tom just said, “You should talk to your doctor.” Probably HRC policy not to tell people they suspect subjects to be pregnant.
Tom even said, she was just barely able to do the memory copy-purge this morning. Which implies, Bay is just on the cusp of the swap device’s safety mechanism being triggered.
I did forget about does clues! heck, I do remember now that it was kind of obvious that this was coming, I suppose that the plan of taking over the world with sirens of Tom, followed with Morgan scheme with the little heart mede me forget about that.
Well, time for a bunch of random bodyswap to solve this
The device wasn’t targeted at anyone in particular on the initial swap, so it’s safety features couldn’t detect pregnancy. Now that they’re using the headbands, it can check for possible safety issues in both targets.
Because Tedd Verres, the guy (or often, gal) who adapted the TG gun to work on humans lives over in the El Goonish Shive universe. Take a look through the EGS archives and you’ll see that his TG gun looks just like the one Chris and Doug used, and it predates Sailorson.org. And, yet again, I remind you and the rest of the Bay Watchers, that cameos from EGS have appeared in both of CD’s webcomics, this one (the Demonic Duck) and Tedd’s girfriend Grace in Jeaniebottle #102.
@Tom Sewell: The male and female form came with the CMD and worked perfectly on humans even before Tedd changed the CMD to his TF gun. The enhancement Tedd did was to program clone forms, allowing anyone transformed looking same. This is NOT something we saw in Sailorsun.org yet, so it’s entirely possible their TF guns are original Uryuom technology. Also, this was not TF gun but mindswap device, which Tedd doesn’t have. And both original CMD and TF gun are temporary by design, even if you break them the form will still timeout.
A pregnancy could make sense, but considering that this wedding has to move on, I am still thinking that maybe the fact that Bay fragmented her own memories and part of herself to create Brian may count as a Neurological issue.
Also, I would like to repeat MauveCloud question on the last page, why we cannot comment anymore on the post for Auction Guy name? did someone actually get it right?
Considering that CD said he’d email whoever got it right and give them a prize, my guess would be “Yes”. But he’s smart enough to leave the post up there for a while, to let more comments pile up before shutting them off, so the answer is not made obvious by making the last guess the correct one.
Other posts (that have presumably had the comments automatically closed) still have links to the posts themselves and to read the comments, even if no more comments can be added, but I still don’t see links like that for the contest/guessing game, even after a Ctrl+F5 to force-refresh the main page. The description is there, but no title link or comments link. I have no idea what might have caused that.
In the meantime, using the “Next” link from the top of the “Young Neko” post works to get there.
I’m not sure why it’s messing up. I’ll have to take a look at it when I get home. IN the meantime, the link to get to it is, https://sailorsun.org/?p=6997
Actually, this should be a brand new child in any time line, after all, Honey and Brady are the daughters of Matthew, and we see how the kids of Bay and Cody could be, but so far we have seen nothing of a posible child between Bay and AG.
Even so, giving birth to your own sibling is still kind of… lets just said awkward
Fuck… I just realize Honey did kiss her father and that from a genetic stand point Dawnie was attracted to her Grandfather
@CD Rudd I think I was just so distracted with the general mayhem going on at the moment (I was caching up with all the story so far to get here after all) that my brain just block that awkward true.
Also remember that if a man has interacted with a siren he needs to be quarantined for 12 hours so that he doesn’t pass on the siren gene. AG had sex with Bay a few minutes after being magically subdued by Dawn.
Well, considering that Dawnie’s powers worked on everyone, and it was Dawn who Siren-whammied AG, it’s possible that the kid will be universally popular. 🙂
If it was Dawn that whammied Auction Guy, wouldn’t it be more likely that the kid is vulnerable to any siren’s voice, rather than having Dawnie’s super-siren voice? Or was that because Dawn was still technically male instead of having anything to do with the siren gene?
In a mind swap with a pregnant girl could it be possible-what am I thinking, it’s a comic. anything is possible- for one of the adults to go into the unborn baby and just be bored for nine months?
Even with the weird science of Sailorsun.org that still should not work, or at least be fatal for both parties involve, the fetus shouldn’t have the brain capacitie to handle an full formed body, neither an adult mind.
Insisting she isn’t pregnant seems a lot more like denial than logic to me. I don’t think Bay has seen an OB/GYN recently to check. For that matter, neither has Honey. I’m having trouble keeping straight which couples have or haven’t mated recently, but it would be a fun twist if it turns out to be Honey’s body that is actually pregnant and interfering with the swap.
I don’t follow Misfile anymore, but it might still be interesting to get a cameo of Dr. Edward Upton to help with checking.
Why exactly would a pregnancy effect the results?
Its a “mind” swap, so its not like the pregnancy should cause problems as the only thing the babies presence would cause is elevated hormone levels and mood changes/shifts.

So did the pregnancy pass that crucial three week mark in less then three minuets after they originally switch?
The device wasn’t targeted at anyone in particular on the initial swap, so it’s safety features couldn’t detect pregnancy. Now that they’re using the headbands, it can check for possible safety issues in both targets.
Then why can’t they just do the “unsafe” version of the swap again?
@mnnega

The comments automatically close after a pre-determine period.
I have to manually go back and adjust the post date in order to reopen the comments.
I just did that, so you should be able to comment again.
(And as far as I’ve seen, AG’s name has not been guessed yet)
Unless it has been, right? We know all about Mr. Redd Herring and his involvement in everything that goes on around here.
By the by, where is the link to the contest? I’m having a little trouble finding it.

Thanks CD!
Panel 2: it’s concussion, not concession.
Pooh.
Ninja’d.
Five minutes.
Ah, so it is. Will fix.
or soul and heart are misaligned due to third party tinkering and/or machinations.
do they have to wait 9 months to marry after switch back or marry the wrong woman now and take care of the swap in a year
Maybe David and Auction Guy could swap minds? Pretty sure neither one of them is pregnant.
Just have to do it the old fashioned way, someone grab a bonesaw and an icecream scoop.
Heh, “bonesaw” immediately made me think of the webnovel “Worm”, Anyone else read that massive epic?
Looks like Honey is going to end up giving birth to herself.
My mom got a real kick out of this one. She said something like ‘if only…’ on her way out.
Actually, this should be a brand new child in any time line, after all, Honey and Brady are the daughters of Matthew, and we see how the kids of Bay and Cody could be, but so far we have seen nothing of a posible child between Bay and AG.

You just realise? That was way back on comic 1069
@CD Rudd I think I was just so distracted with the general mayhem going on at the moment (I was caching up with all the story so far to get here after all) that my brain just block that awkward true.
I’m sure a lot of mothers feel that way. That’s the nice thing about the mysterious world of SailorSun.org
BTW, I found out my mom has a scary laugh.
She has other kinds of laughs, of course, but this was the first time I heard her scary laugh.
Also remember that if a man has interacted with a siren he needs to be quarantined for 12 hours so that he doesn’t pass on the siren gene. AG had sex with Bay a few minutes after being magically subdued by Dawn.
Oh… someone picked up on that… what could it mean….
~_~
It means the kid is going to be popular, at least with the boys.
Well, considering that Dawnie’s powers worked on everyone, and it was Dawn who Siren-whammied AG, it’s possible that the kid will be universally popular. 🙂
@Robert
If the kid has powers like Dawnie, Dawnie’s may be the only one who can sit her. So Dawnie would be babysitting her aunt.
I hope the series lasts long enough for someone to at least try to explain to Mary Smith how large and complicated the family she birthed has become.
If it was Dawn that whammied Auction Guy, wouldn’t it be more likely that the kid is vulnerable to any siren’s voice, rather than having Dawnie’s super-siren voice? Or was that because Dawn was still technically male instead of having anything to do with the siren gene?
