well, he’s right about a couple of things: Heather’s mom DID have a girl and a boy, and Bay isn’t really Heather’s sister at all. but he’s been in jail for so long, he doesn’t even realize the obvious truth.
Pardon me if I disagree about the second thing. Bay might have been born as Heather’s brother, but that still counts as being her sibling, and is now physically female. How does that not qualify as being a sister?
Bay now identifies as a female now, That is her gender identity. If he still identified as a male he would be a male trapped inside a woman’s body Sense she now identifies as a woman she is now a woman trapped inside w woman’s body She is thus now a female and thus Heather’s sister..
When Brad was Bay’ed his “helix” was changed to female. A blood test will show Bay IS Heather’s sister.

The thing is, unless he has access to the birth records, it’s his word against Bay’s, and I don’t think that Heather’s trust of him is so great as to immediately believe him accusing Bay of being a fake without proof, especially given that they are identical (which would for an imposter require extensive helix tampering).
Bay, I think it’s about time you told Heather everything before she gets the right information the wrong way.

There’s nothing in the comic that has ever indicated the Helix Corp is a secret. TF guns are accepted tech. The problem with Daddy’s blackmail scheme isn’t with his motivation, it’s that he’s saying Bay must be pretending to be Heather’s sister to leech money from her wealthy adopted family. While it’s quite possible for the Helix Corp to change a person’s form and even create a new person with an artificial personality (Dixie, Dawnie, Crystal), it’s equally possible and more plausible that Brad just changed genders. In a world overrun with talking cats and turtles working as talent agents, gender switching just shouldn’t be that big a deal. Hey, it really shouldn’t be that big a deal in our world.
Sure, that’s all true. But even in their world, the default thought is going to be “You’re an imposter”, rather than “Hello my son, who is now my daughter.” Occam’s Razor, and all that.
Actually, I think the default thought is dependent on being a douche or a human being, which heather and Bay’s biological progenitor is not. So, a reasoning being would have many thoughts on why Bay is not the male they expected, but this jerk has just the one thought, that Bay is after Heather’s money.
Yes, TG and TF technology is common in the comic. But you have to remember, in the SailorSun.org world it’s also very expensive and strictly managed. It’s not something you can go to Radio Shack and just buy a TG Gun. Notice every time something has happened, it was either HRC, university equipment, or on loan from the studio park. Not a lot of organizations would have the means to TG someone for the hell of it.

IN Canada, all the Radio Shacks closed and were sold to another company that renamed and reopened them as ‘The Source’.
Actually I am not sure they were ever sold but Radio Shack in Canada was a spin off on Tandy, based in Barrie On.
When RS Canada was bought by Circuit City the RS name was taken back. There was one outlet store for a while but even that one closed.
Circuit City went Bankrupt but since TheSource was still profitable it was sold to Bell and is still going.

THe ACA wrote in 2008 that ,””the legal and social recognition of transgender individuals consistent with their gender identity and expression,” The ACA in America is pretty much the authority on the subject. I do not know what the ruling in Canada but I would guess it is much the same.

Heather already had a genetic test run to confirm they were “sisters”. It’s dad’s word against notarized and legally recognized lab results. It’s up to Bay how she wants to further defuse this situation. (I’d go with, “Hey Heather, Dad says I’m really your brother and he’s trying to blackmail me with the information. What should I do?”)
I didn’t read it that way. I think, by saying Bay’s after Heather’s money, he’s saying they are not even related. After all, if Bay were still Brad wouldn’t Heather be just as pleased to find out she had a brother?
Heather might get upset with Bay for withholding knowledge of their family or of Brad when Heather might’ve asked about in the past. Similar to how Honey got upset with Bay for not saying anything about having a younger version of Honey aka Brady around.
Heather MIGHT be judgemental about genderswitching, but I really doubt that she’d disown Bay over it.
Also, we have not seen any evidence that Heather’s trust of Dad is so strong as to take his word over the lab results and her relationship with Bay (and Honey and Brady) without Dad having the birth records or other evidence to back up his claim.
It just keeps getting worse lol
This is one of those moments where you ought to just bite the bullet and confess to your friends and family. It will be uncomfortable for a while, but it’s better than being blackmailed.
Heather won’t believe him; they already got DNA tested way before this. It was Bay that insisted that they weren’t sisters before, but because Heather’s parents are wealthy, they got the DNA test and proved they are siblings. This comic does confirm that it is Bay’s dad. Even after all of this time, her father still has the mindset of a criminal. Which really is a shame. Bay will just hate him more after this.
