I don’t usually do ads in the comics, but this time is an exception.
A little backstory… a LONG time ago, I bought a graphic novel, ‘Super Information Hijinks: Reality Check!’ (released by TokyoPop in black & white). This was a story set in the not-too-distant future about a boy, Colin Meeks, and his cat, Catreece. When Catreese is under a Virtual Reality helmet, she appears online as a humanoid catgirl. This was my first exposure to the concept of catgirls.
When Neko first appeared in a Filler comic, Catreece was the direct inspiration for Neko.
Recently, I’ve discovered that Rikki Simons and Tavisha are attempting to raise funds to re-release this comic IN FULL COLOUR! The TokyoPop versions of this comic are harder and harder to find, and as I said, are in black & white. For as little as $5 you can get BOTH volumes of the book (in colour) in PDF format.
If you like my comic, I truly believe you’ll like Reality Check! It’s well drawn, has engaging characters, and one day, I’m sure those VR helmets will actually exist.

I have that comic. somewhere amoungst my collection…it was a good comic. Too bad they got screwed on the deal for publishing it.
