Bay Smith is a main character. Once a guy, she was turned into a girl several years ago. She keeps this fact a secret, and only a handful of people know.
She's now a struggling actress whose roommate is actually her daughter from an alternate future timeline.
Brady is the younger version of Honey. She is also an alternate time traveling daughter of Bay.
She lives with Heather (Bay's sister) and her (adopted) parents in Buffalo, NY.
Took me a while to reason it out, but I *think* she’s annoyed at Trav for (presumably offscreen) incorrectly assuming that Bay would have comfortable lodging for them.
Well Bay’s been out of work for a while. Honey only very recently graduated from college, and doesn’t have a job besides the doll model thing that’s still in the works. Berry works at a bakery and just bought a new house with Trav (whose source of income is totally unknown to us). David is a student who doesn’t appear to have a job, and while Ethan works at the flower shop his mom owns, that’s not likely to be a well-paying position. AG works at that gym, but that’s probably not terribly high-paying, either.
And all of them need to pay rent, eat food, and have electricity/gas/water/internet despite their on-and-off or low-paying jobs.
After writing that all up, I actually feel particularly fortunate to have a steady, enjoyable job that pays well and gives me enough free time to edit this comic in the evenings (and leave comments like this one!).
*snort* HAHAHAHA…hehe…….oh, that was adorably hysterical. Jobs USED to work that way…now, you need a Bachelor’s degree MINIMUM to get a job that MIGHT have advancement. Of those listed, only Bay and Honey have a non-dead end job, and those two depend on the fickle whims of the media. And let’s face it, Bay is getting too old to be a starlet. In his current job, Ethan’s only form of career advancement is if his mom retires or dies – not anytime soon.
Now, Honey, David, and Ethan ARE going to school and may earn degrees in which case this may change. But at the moment they all be Kenny-poor.
What’s Berry so upset about?

That Bay doesn’t know she’s another version of her.
Why are all these 20ish people dead broke?
No morgage no kids no car payments. Even with a poor paying job they sould have so savings.

Most of them are in entry level/temporary jobs. As their experience grows, so will better job opportunities.
