Bay Smith is a main character. Once a guy, she was turned into a girl several years ago. She keeps this fact a secret, and only a handful of people know.
She's now a struggling actress whose roommate is actually her daughter from an alternate future timeline.
There’s a difference between doing it without religion, purely for the purpose of legal and financial reasons, and doing it because of religious and moral reasons.
I don’t think they should really be called the same thing, because they cover two totally separate aspects of a union between two people.
As a partially religious person (not as much as I used to be, but still somewhat) I have wondered that too. Given how much I love TG things, I still wonder if it’s not “wrong” in some way in the eyes of God.
Okay, I didn’t take the energy to spread it out, so you get all of my webcomic donation money this month…
Oh crap! I broke the donation bar. Um… it was like that when I got here.
Yea! I won. Now I feel bad for the other webcomics.
I hope the donation image was worth it. And don’t worry bout the meter. I wasn’t expecting a jump that quickly. so you caught me off guard. It’s fixed now. (sorta, donation meter has been buggy for a while now)
Over 5 years? So not since he became a she, then?
And are you seriously going to be getting into a religion vs non-religion discussion in a comic? Wow.
Such discussions never end well.
Technically, marriage is a religious term. Otherwise it’s just a legal civil union.
Oooh, that is “what is the wrong way to describe marriage?” Alex.

I don’t see why not. Marriage wasn’t even a part of the sacrament until the 10th century anyway.
It can be both or only one or the other. But the legality rests with the state not the church hence the need for a marriage licence.
The look on Heathers face in the last panel is pure brilliance
Oof! Religious family member and non-religious family member with different views on marriage. Should be…interesting.
Judging by what she was saying last page, Bay’s sister is about to drive off the road at that comment.
News at 9!
Ouch. There is of course also the question of highly-religious people’s views on gender-flips, should Heather ever find out about that part.

I’d say it ils more people using god as an excuse to be a dick
Considering what “God” has done to her? I’d be skeptical too.

Aw screw ’em. They get enough money from enough other people that they won’t miss me this month.
At least the amount updated right away instead of taking a few days. I tacked on the extra 17 cents so I’d know when the donation appeared on the bar.
