Bay Smith is a main character. Once a guy, she was turned into a girl several years ago. She keeps this fact a secret, and only a handful of people know.
She's now a struggling actress whose roommate is actually her daughter from an alternate future timeline.
So the TG gun switched Brad’s Y chromosome to an X.
The interesting part (if we’re taking this seriously) is that the X it gave Bay would have to be a duplicate of Heather’s second X, or they wouldn’t have tested as twins, just siblings.
Actually, it would only have to make it a duplicate if they tested them to be identical twins. Fraternal twin girls can have a different second X gene.
Good thing the comic officially just said “twins” and not “identical twins”, since genetics doesn’t work such that the latter could be true. Twins that are nonidentical at birth would have completely different genomes (as much as any 2 siblings), the different birth sexes guaranteeing that they are nonidentical, and the trandform gun that changes sex couldn’t have changed the other genes to match unless it already had Heather’s genome info to copy.
In fairiness. Bay said, identical twin based on the fact they look just like each other. Heather, talking about the science didn’t say Idental. Just twin.
Although it does bear pointing out that in the Sailor Sun-verse DNA and all our understanding of it is just so much voodoo. https://sailorsun.org/?p=94
Hmmm.

Yeah, there’s that.
My nieces are fraternal twins so i should have thought of that; i just was assuming that Bay and Heather are now identicals.
No such thing as DNA in this universe, remember?
Although presumably they’re fraternal… unless, of course, one or the other was somehow zapped in the womb…
Also, anyone care to do any guessing/betting on what buildings Heather is gonna wind up managing?

um…it did say that: https://sailorsun.org/?p=2574

There is that.
