Looks like she was hoping for a kiss.

Given that Crystal is used to the idea of men drooling over her, it may be that the fact that this guy is NOT trying to get sexy with her yet still seems to care about her will interest her all the more.

    “Did you get her digits?”

“Why the heck would I want her fingers?”

    LOL

I have to assume “getting her digits” is a more Canadian expression, because in America the term is “get her number”.

*Raises right hand* Um…I think I shall refrain from actually answering that one for the sanity of others, as my mind went to places that NO ONE EVER should go…that being said, just chuckle nervously and back away 😉

I honestly feel this guy doesn’t see women as meat like most guys do. I am this way as well, and I end up like Crystal, expecting to at least be acknowleged, and getting casually dissed. I just hope she doesn’t turn around and take it out upon the next person she meets.

I think she is a better person than that. I -HOPE- she is a better person than that.

I am really enjoying this arc, regardless of my expectations, and CD, your art has genuinely evolved from when this started, practice makes perfect! Keep it up!

      Who…me?

Yer not the first to make that mistake, nor will you be the last if you did mean me. As a teen, I hung around with the gals because they had more interesting (and honest) things to say and talk about. All the guys talked about were “scoring” and other stuff that I didn’t find interesting.

I respect Women as Human Beings, and I keep my hands to myself until given express permission to do so, especially if I have no right to do so (we’re not involved, she’s dating someone else, etc.)

Had I been born Female, my preference would still be Females. Guys are just…icky? Of the FEW male friends I have or have had, they too respect Women or I cannot stand being around them.

Women are people too. Catch is, a lot of them WANT to be disrespected, abused or even beaten, and this has always confused me, why would they want this? Most likely, it is because this was the way they were brought up, or what they are used to, so when they hook up with a guy that respects them and treats them like an equal or better, they do not know how to react and therefore revert back to where they are comfortable, being dissed and abused.

I even wrote a song about it…Click on my name for a free (no registration or signups, just need to have 7zip to open it) copy of my album.

I also had a few gay friends, and as long as they didn’t try to ‘convert’ me, I was fine with being friends with them. Other people’s assumptions are just that, if they ask, I tell them the truth, I may LOOK like a Female, but sadly, I am male…and the only advantage to being male is the ability to pee while standing up. Given the choice, I’d prefer to be Female.

TL/DR Summary: Nope, not gay. I just look girly.

It’s nice that you are confident enough to be open about all that.

    Some quick observations:
    1. Her hair is heart shaped when she’s waiting for a kiss.
    2. He’s expecting (or hoping) or a verbal ‘thank you’ from her.
    3. GLOMP HIM! (That would make the expectations clear.)

Just tell him to get back here and accept a congratulatory smooch RIGHT NOW.

@Ty294 – It took me decades to learn that it’s not a big deal if someone else mistakes me for female, or assumes I’m gay. Just last nite, my Sis and I went into Jack In The Box and the guy behind the counter said “Good Evening, Ladies”, and I turned to my Sis and said “See?”

He was very apologetic, and I was laughing and told him it was no big deal. He gave up large drinks and some extra freebie coupons, and I told him it was no big deal, tho he still felt bad about it. A few decades back, I would be stupid and had said or did something mean, but now it is NO BIG DEAL. I cannot help that I look like a girl, and I cannot afford to overcompensate. I just let it be. This is how God made me, so accepting it without lashing out is for the best. Confidence has nothing to do with it.

I’ve always been a Live and Let Live kinda person, tho if a total stranger assumes I’m a girl or I’m gay, I POLITELY and jokingly correct them, and carry on, as that’s ALL that I can do. No need to get militant, I’m too old and too tired to care anymore.

Besides, anyone who has a problem with me is free to walk away. I’m not going to START trouble, however, I am still willing and able to FINISH any trouble someone mistakenly starts with me. Depending upon their level of intelligence, will my retaliation be verbal, or physical? To be the latter will end them up in the hospital, regardless, as I’ve learned that really stupid people tend to take a swing and the only way to make them stop is to break a bone or three. I’ll be verbal first.

Smarter people accept it and they will live on, I’ll be nice and laugh about it, if they laugh with me, cool, life goes on.
