Bay Smith is a main character. Once a guy, she was turned into a girl several years ago. She keeps this fact a secret, and only a handful of people know.
She's now a struggling actress whose roommate is actually her daughter from an alternate future timeline.
It’s a dream. Dreams are the brain’s way of cleaning out the nonsense connections among diverse information and experiences. All of this is stuff from inside Brad/Bay’s head—and considering what Brad/Bay has been going through the last few years, chains and graveyards and what? werewolves? is a lot of trash in the mental attic. Not surprising that amnesia would suppress a bargeload of those experiences.
Pretty sure it will end with Brad/Bay waking up, though. Maybe with the amnesia resolved?
“Chain up”?
That’s a catchphrase some of my friends used to toss around…
Ooooo, This can’t end well.
