498 : Vacuum Tube Tech
Tried to do a more cinematic effect on the first two panels of this comic. I don’t think it turned out too well.

So Eric tried to swap them using the broken body swapper and swapped the cats instead? When did that happen? Don’t see it while going back to their last appearance.
I feel like I missed something too.
David and Crystal used the machine which was supposed to swap them for a few hours. It’s far beyond that and they’ve still not changed back (no surprise there), and now suddenly nighttime and the cats have been somehow switched as well by David freaking out with the machine. When did that happen?
Seems that when David noticed that he hasn’t swapped back, he went and tried using the mashine, again, and ended up switching the others.
That is probably what happened, but would have been nice if it was fully explained in the comic and not just an assumption made by the reader.
Ummm – sorry to be picky, but…
Vacuum tubes don’t have Edison bases like light bulbs. (Even though they work by the Edison Effect…)
I wasn’t sure anyone was going to get that little Edison joke.
And yet… it seems the only person who noticed it, didn’t get the joke either.
???
Even though I noticed the socket, I didn’t know wether or not there were vacum tubes like that, so I kept silent.
Ah well, I guess the light is out on this one. 🙂
I felt lost there myself, I even tried going back to cat-up and see if I missed something, but it seemed to have been off screen.
Ah, so we’re seeing things through David’s POV.He must have blacked out, then.
Tubes all use pin bases, but that’s a way techno-geek inside joke with the base – I had no idea the screw-in base had any other name to it.
I’m just wondering what tube they need and where they’ll find it – it will be cheap unless it’s some wierd one, they seem to have very little value these days, so little that when I sold some on eBay a while back I just dumped them in big lots – it wasn’t even worth trying to seperate out each individual type and sell that way.
I know lotsa useless stuff like Edison bases…
Wait, is that a dil- Nope, it’s a vacuum tube. Nevermind ^_^;
