1st of all: to Jo, who says you have to be blonde in order to be dumb? 2nd of all: aren’t stitches supposed to put pieces back together? and as a follow-up.. YEOWCH!!!
That was a Bioshock 2 reference. They’re basically teenage girls sealed into a diving suit that throw fireballs at you shortly before you leave a level in certain circumstances.
I think it’s mostly just a consequence of the tailor screwing up and not finishing their order when they promised to. So the bridesmaids are making due with the best solution they could come up with on short notice.
Though I will admit, I have heard of this happening for real, on very rare occasions.
It happens to brides as well or so my mum likes to tell it. She was so skinny that they had to sew her into the smallest size dress they had in the shop.

Did Jo EVER have a sarcasm detector?
When did Jo get a sarcasm detector? Must be after-market.
And yet Sam is wearing a totally different dress.
Yeah, thats fair. ^^;;
Sam’s not one of the bridesmaids.
A classic nightmare of most bridesmaids is being set up here.
Don’t worry, Honey! Becoming a Big Sister isn’t that scary.
I wonder if Honey remembers she’s a mom yet, since David does remember.
What’s a “Big Sister”?

“Trapped”? I doubt it. It’s a bridesmaid’s dress, not a Schlock Mercenary battle outfit, so in an emergency, you should be able to tear it.
You read Schlock, too?? I’ve been reading it for more than a decade, and I’ve met no other readers outside the comic’s own forums!
Schlock is classic. I tend to binge read it, a year at a time or so. So I don’t comment in the forums.
I hadn’t even realized Schlock Mercenary had forums until you mentioned them. The link isn’t exactly prominent.
Yeah, for some reason Howard really doesn’t make it obvious. I can’t imagine why.
There are forums at schlock? Who knew? I sure didn’t.
…is this really a thing people do?
