To be fair, American Thanksgiving has nothing to do with “that Plymouth thing” either, that’s just a story we tell kids because it makes us look better in the eyes of history
There are like 3 different origins for American Thanksgiving, and I’m pretty sure all of them are at least partially right
Yeah, a lot of ‘making us look better in the eyes of history’ happens. For example: People called Abraham Lincoln ‘Honest Abe” because once while working as a store clerk, he mistakenly took six cents too much from a customer. That night after the store closed, he walked three miles to return the customer’s money.

They don’t mention that he also ran wrestling scam with him mother.
Oh, and Washington didn’t actually chop down that cherry tree.
2. No, Lincoln was FAMOUSLY a wrestler. It was his mother who was secretly a wrestler. People from all over would come to challenge the famous Abe, but once he had taken them down, and taken their measure, he would add insult to injury with taunts: ‘You fight like a woman.’ ‘My mother could beat you.’ etc. And that’s when the real bets were made.
for a nice fall off the bone turkey, garnish with 3 different onions {1 red, 1 white, 1 yellow], 2 red potatoes, 2 oranges cut in quarters. put the juice from 1 half orange over the top of the turkey before stuffing it and lightly dust with tradewinds barbecue seasoning. cover with foil at 375* for 1 and a half hours then remove foil cover and bake for another 3 hours at 350* until golden brown.
Throw a pancake nearby and the turkey can escape to the same place potato salad and dressing goes when no one is looking at me.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Does Teri know how to hunt yet, or will he ignore that mouse like Garfield?
If you were a Patreon supporter, you’d know the answer to that! 🙂
This month’s Silly comic answers that exact question.
Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada. It is rooted in English & French traditions which predate that Plymouth thing.

Wait, I thought Lincoln was secretly a vampire hunter. He was just secretly a wrestler? Boooring.
1. You watched that movie last night?

I love Teri, but I’m glad my cat isn’t like him. ^_^
I hope they enjoy the turkey after the cat has laid on it.
Do I want to know?
