Bay Smith is a main character. Once a guy, she was turned into a girl several years ago. She keeps this fact a secret, and only a handful of people know.
She's now a struggling actress whose roommate is actually her daughter from an alternate future timeline.
I was going to post this as a comment to your blog entry, but I guess I’m a little late or something. Anyway, since you seem to be concerned about the price of Adobe Photoshop, have you considered free alternatives like Paint.NET or GIMP?
I have other comic making software, including Manga Studio. I figured if I’m going to learn to use a new software, maybe learning the most commonly used one would be a good idea.
I finally talked to Corel and am having a replacement CD set to me.
ah if you use the magic wand to select an area to auto fill. i also like to stroke/outline selection 2 pixels. that removes most of those white pixels around the color areas you have going on there. though i’d be doing the colour on a layer below the lineart. it looks like you’re getting the hang of it. its not nice haveing to search through menus to find something you used to do with a keystroke.
It looks good. A bit more practice with Adobe is probably a good idea anyway just in case Corel craps out on you again.(after you can get it working again that is) It’s almost too bad you don’t live anywhere near me because one of my old teachers knows a good deal about Adobe and could probably give you some help if you needed it.
Wait a minute… Does Bay have a TAIL in this picture?
Also, I find it really cool watching artists play with new tools and toys.
It was loads of fun watching my friend geek out as he learned new tricks with photoshop.
Have fun and keep on learning new stuff.

Thanks for the tips.. I’ll keep them in mind.

Yea, I had looked into school near me that offered some kind of part-time/evening courses in Photoshop or animation, but no go.
Is Bay’s Hair a symbiotic life form? It’s the only thing that i can see that explains her crazy hair styles.

Nope, no tail… It’s part of her tux outfit.
