Bay Smith is a main character. Once a guy, she was turned into a girl several years ago. She keeps this fact a secret, and only a handful of people know.
She's now a struggling actress whose roommate is actually her daughter from an alternate future timeline.
I can’t help but notice how much of a jerk this guy is and the fact he looks a lot like Jean from Jeannie Bottle makes me wonder if he is Jean’s brother?
Not quite. His skin is the wrong tone and his hair is a shade or two darker. Since CD has stated before that he uses a colour key for coloring his toons, we have to assume the different pallet means different character…just same choice of hairstyle.
Yea Ran-san I noticed the hair color difference and that is why I suggested he might be Jean’s brother. I hadn’t noticed the skin color difference though.
Hey, Bay and Berry are from different universes. Since Berry traveled back in time, she changed the out comes that lead to the life she lived in the other timeline which no long exists in this universe. Hence, different universes. 🙂
CD doesn’t really have many diverse looks for his male characters in my personal opinion. I remember seeing different kinds of “Neils” in some guests characters throughout his comics. At least he recycles the hair styles.
Maybe with Chris (Bay’s/Brad’s Ex-Boss) being such an ass and louse, CD imagine Chris to reassemble Jean in a lot of ways. 😀
That is a set panel behind them leaning against a wall. You can see its shadow on the wall behind the jerk. There are probably several more off camera.
Actually that isn’t a just a shadow; it’s the edge of the window frame, which is in shadow. And that strip between the “shadow” and the “panel” is supposed to be the edge of the glass in the window.
Say, how does Chris know that’s a woman’s bag? It came off an arriving flight. The only way he could have known is if he saw the red-headed woman check that bag before that flight and flew with her on the same plane to wherever he and Bay are now.
Is the redhead who just lost her clothes really Robyn? If so will she recognize her own clothes when she meets Bay? Its a good thing this is a comic or that dress will not fit. Kind of like the movies where you knock out the guard and his uniform always fits.
In Raiders of the Lost Ark, the uniform Indy stole from a German didn’t fit and he had to get another one. Maybe that dress will be a size or two too small. 😉
Of course I have to keep reminding myself that Brad at this age is jailbait.
Actually, a lot of that loss is theft–from luggage handlers! They’ll sometimes deliberately put bags on the wrong flight, and then use their flight discounts on the airline they work for to rejoin the bags and loot them at leisure. And a lot of these thieves are hooked up with the mob. In reality, our favorite brush-cut jerk could have had his thumbs broken for stealing without a license.
What a creep, tell me something rotten happened to him. Like maybe he got mauled by an escaped Platypus-Wolverine hybrid that was waiting for him in an elevator one day?
I hope so, too. Though I don’t recall if we know anything at all about what happened to him since the last time Bay saw him, which I believe was several years ago at this point.
I like to imagine that Tom got a hold of this asshole as one of his guinea pigs for an experiment. Maybe even turning him into an actual guinea pig.
I know, its like he is a Sociopath or something. I seriously hope I get what’s coming to him, like someone use the TGTF gun, and it turns him not only into a girl but a redheaded drow girl and all the guys are after him like crazy, like leather club guys. Let’s see him have a taste of his own medicine let’s see if he finds the taste to be bitter or horrible. Karma can be a b*tch but she can be a justifiable b*tch.

Jean travels for his job, but we know this character. He’s Brad’s asshole boss at Sailor Sun Studios.
Could he be related to Jean? Maybe. Though I’m reasonably certain that SS.org and Jeanie Bottle take place in different universes.

Many airports have cameras watching the luggage carousels, sadly that’s about all they do is record it.

Nah, she’s much too dark-skinned to be Robyn. I think Brad’s boss just stole her luggage because she has a vaguely similar figure to Bay’s.
