Well, recall that they’ve been hanging out for a few hours, ever since Jo handed Brady off to Berry by mistake. I think Brady’s been building up to this question for a while.
She is GOOD!
Than again,she is smart and also a time jumper too.So, it’s prossible theat she can smeel someone similar to her.
No, Brady’s not a time jumper yet, Honey is her future self that jumped back. But, she is still smart and has been exposed to the idea.
Then were did she come from? Bay hasn’t given birth yet.
Not quite. Brady and Honey are *both* time jumpers. Brady’s just from the less-distant future compared to Honey.
Due to the side effects of the time machine that Bay’s bosses used to bring Honey and Brady to the current timeline, Bay is actually no longer pregnant with the child that would have become them. So they sortof exist in temporal limbo, and cannot return to their original timelines, because those timelines no longer exist.

I love the contrast between the cluelessness of Bay and the perceptiveness of Brady.
No Brady, she isn’t from the future, the time she would have came from was at the beginning of the chapter.
The reason she asked if Berry was from the future is that Berry is somewhat older than Bay. She went back in time and re-lived the same amount of time as Brad has been Bay, so she’s older. I’m not really sure how long Bay’s been around, though. I would assume “a few years”, but it could be less than that.
It’s been 5 years since Brad was turned into Bay.

I knew that. I was just being a bit of a smart aleck because technically Berry isn’t from the future anymore, and technically never was as that was a timeline that no longer exists unless we go by multiverse theory.

Time travel can be confusing. You’re right though, the potential futures Berry and the Honeys (good name for a band) came from no longer exist or they exist on an alternate timeline. They are currently stuck in the present timeline and make things exciting for those of us following the story.
Brady’s guess is about as close as possible without going into a lengthy explanation.
