The keen observer might notice a few of the differences in the altered timeline vises the current. Plus we also see what the note left under Chris’s desk might have been.
Could the note could have been Send Honey to the University?

So she slipped back to send a note for Chris to smash the portal? Or did it herself? And how did Chris wind up?
It kind of sucks that the Bay during this whole chapter hasn’t even been the “real” one at all. It’s akin to those old Twilight Zone episodes where the main character turns out to be dead or a robot or something.
So this Bay (Berry) is at this point a few years older than Bay, is living another life somewhere else, and is romantically involved with one of her old friends. Really, at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if she and that other guy actually are Honey’s parents somehow.
Nothing really makes any sense. 🙁
I still hold on to the hope that one day it will. Part of me just thinks CD likes confusing us.
I knew it,thing will be “nomal” so far,something interesting is on the way here I can smell it.
So if Bay never went back in time, how is there a Bay from going back in time that’s a few years older?
There are a variety of theories out there on how time travel would work.
CD’s apparently following the one where if you go back and change the past, you create a new timeline from that point forward. But if you traveled back, you still traveled back from the original timeline, then hop (by virtue of making the change) to the newly created one. Hence why Berry is still around in this timeline, despite only having come into existence in the other one.
