Bay Smith is a main character. Once a guy, she was turned into a girl several years ago. She keeps this fact a secret, and only a handful of people know.
She's now a struggling actress whose roommate is actually her daughter from an alternate future timeline.
Well, in the previous strip, Bay was falling asleep, so this bids fair to be a dream sequence, rather than a flashback. Interesting choice of outfit (extra-girly) by her subconscious. Not quite appropriate for a cemetery (or even a “cementary,” which I think may be an adjective, not a noun), though.
