1066 : Shy Chromosomes
For those who might not remember the (somewhat convoluted) timeline, Brad became Bay about 5 years ago.
Bay checked her old apartment in Comic 463, and her mother’s old stationery store in Comic 465.

wait since when did the characters in SS have DNA let alone chromosomes?
I though the “helix” was basis of the stories genetic happenings?
DNA is a helix…
Helixes have chromosomes. They’re just not DNA. That’s fictional.
Ask Berry?
Does Bay know Berry is an older time traveling version of herself?
Even if Bay knew who Berry was (which is a dubious assertion, at best), Berry might not know where their mother lives. She has the same two, rather sizable reasons for not contacting her that Bay has.
She can’t really be an orphan if she knows her father is alive.
I think the legal definition of orphan includes “abandoned child”. which her father obviously did to Heather after he stole her from the hospital.
And for additional reference, her mother is here: https://sailorsun.org/?comic=501-pushy-map-sales-person-to-the-rescue https://sailorsun.org/?comic=sailorsun-org-12
Bay’s mother is not a very good mother if she hasn’t even tried to contact her after moving. Bay could have sent letters or emailed her without having to call, but it would be stupid to not contact Bay over not calling if you moved.
How do you know Bay’s mother didn’t try to contact her? by the time she moved, Brad would have been Bay for potentially several years. Who knows if her mother could still find her?
Bay’s phone number is probably the same, same with her mailing address. She could have easily contacted bay of she truly wanted.
BTW: the kind of shop that sells paper and such is a “stationery” store, not a “stationary” store.
Oh lol, did not know that. Stupid identical pronouncement!
I’d make a dumb joke about the store being stationary, but the entire point of this conversation is that it moved, so that’s right out the window.
Actually, the term comes from the “stationers” who stayed put to sell their goods instead of travelling from place to place:
{from Wikipedia}
So the joke isn’t that far off the point…
Hahah, that’s amazing.
You know, Honey has Mary Smith’s business card, from way back when.
That’s technically true, but “Smith” is such a common surname that there’s little chance she’d realize that was her grandmother.
Also, it’s nice to have it finally definitively stated in canon whether Bay had kept up with her mother’s address – she had amnesia in comic 465 when she visited the old stationery store, so that wasn’t definitive.
